Rubbed Out

I’ve been erasing parts of my physical collages digitally - we save millions of images that we rarely re-see and the reliance and process of 'click save' weakens our memory as we begin to rely on a computer’s memory.

Timothy Morton talks loosely about this in Being Ecological, our blurry vision from a reliance on computer storage or the ‘cloud’.

Storing memories and storing nature, digitally, doesn’t offer a replacement/true data about those things but gives us a smudgey approximated vision instead.
